Join us on a
Fall Drive to tour Mounds!
When the first Europeans came into the land they called Ohio, there were 1000’s of mounds that covered the landscape. Unfortunately, only a small fraction of that remain today.
Join us for the day, as we lead a caravan of cars through South Eastern Ohio to see some of that remain.
Our first meeting stop will be the Marathon at 32 & 41, outside of Peebles. Then the second meeting location will be the Rest Area on US 23 outside of Lucasville. Please, scroll down to register with us & pay, so we know how many to expect.

Maximum limit: 13, plus the driver & Jeffrey Wilson our guide, if we get more registrations we could rent another 15-passanger van or Caravan.
Please bring: Wear appropriate clothes for the weather, and you may bring drinks & snacks or lunch. We will be stopping at a fast food place after noon.
While the tour will take us towards the Portsmouth, Ohio area. The itinerary is still being worked out.

Miamisburg Mound
The 1st stop on the tour will be to visit Miamisburg Mound.

Calvery Cemetery Hilltop Enclosure Earthworks
The 2nd stop on the tour will be to visit the hilltop enclosure earthworks in the Calvery Cemetery.

Wright Brothers Memorial Mounds
The 3rd stop on the tour after taking a quick detour through a fast food stop, will take us to the Wright Brothers Memorial Mounds.

Orator’s Mound & Yellow Springs
The 4th stop on the tour will be to Orator’s Mound & Yellow Springs, which sits inside the Glenn Helen State Park. There is a entrance fee, and a hike.

Indian Mound Reserve (Williamson Mound and
Pollack Earthworks)
The 5th stop on the tour will be to the Indian Mound Reserve, where we will visit the Williamson Mound and Pollack Earthworks enclosure. There is a hike to see these.
